Our Emergent Technolgies Project Space acts as an umbrella for the support [ space.media.arts ] offers to emergent technologies projects on a project-by-project basis. By providing available spaces and equipment to innovative projects that fit with our current activities and focus, we support artists and local communities experimenting with new technologies in varied practices such as electronics, locative media, VJing and visuals generation, experimental sound and music, free and open source software, community wireless networking and more.

Currently, the Emergent Technologies Project Space is home to NODE.London, an organization dedicated to raising the profile of media arts in London. It has been used previously by Consume, Proboscis and Take2030, among others.

Equipment attached to the Emergent Technologies Project Space includes a GPS receiver, RFID readers and tags, PDAs, a PC laptop, projectors, Macintosh computers, an open wireless network and more.

If you have an emergent technologies project that you would like to propose to [ space.media.arts ], contact Heather Corcoran with a description of the project and the space or equipment you require. Please note that fees may apply and not all projects can be supported.
