Generous Anston residents have raised more than £1,000 for charity after holding a fun day.

The money was raised in February during a family fundraiser at the cricket club, on Ryton Road.

The evening ended with a pie and peas supper and games of bingo.

Barbara thanked everyone involved in the event.The event is now in its sixth year – and each year goes from strength to strength.
